Whoa - I was blown away tonight at the OC Fair show that you and your band put on. AMAZING! I am a Long Islander now living in So Cal and working in OC as a writer and teacher. I will be 45 in September, have seen hundreds of shows, but yours was the finest tribute performance I've ever attended.
To explain, I first saw Bruce at Syracuse University's Carrier Dome in January 1985 and have been hooked ever since. I saw the Tunnel of Love tour in 1988 at the old LA Sports Arena but then didn't catch him in the succeeding ten years he recorded and performed without the E Street Band. But in the 12 years since, I've seen him many times, both in NY, LA and Philly. All great shows. Even at 60 now, he puts on the best live show in rock.
HOWEVER, with your performance, you took me back to a time before I was a fan... a time when I WISH I was a fan - the mid-1970s when he made his best music. It was so thrilling to see and hear you and your band recreate the magic of the first four albums as if it were 1975 and he was touring after the Born to Run album. I was too young at the time to have caught him live, but you reincarnated that experience for me!!!
Every note, every line, every instrumental arrangement, your entire set list, and even your visual manifestation of his onstage moves and styles were all letter perfect. I can't thank and respect you enough that you relegated your performance to that superior period in the Boss' music and live shows. It was surely a brave move to leave out his later internationally commercial period of the 80s when many people became fans and best recall his music. You should all be commended for your choices and approach!!!
Thanks for making my night and life by filling a hole that I've long had as a Bruce fan! Wishing you the best in all of your future efforts. Rock on!!!
Yours truly,
Scott Essman
This is no tribute band! This show is a shot in the arm, an adrenaline rush. The most authentic replication of Springsteen and E Street hands-down! You can’t help but succumb to the illusion instantly and will need to remind yourself that you’re not at a real Springsteen concert. The “theatrical reenactments”manage to come across spontaneous and never take you out of the live concert vibe, yet the show is so much more than any tribute show I’ve ever seen. You have to see it for yourself. I Can’t wait to see them again.

It’s obvious these guys really love the Boss and love what they do. You can feel it in every note and in the interactions between the cast. Great show!!!

Best Cover Band - 2009
(*)SPRINGSTEEN! The Premier Tribute to the Boss
Cover bands are ubiquitous in the clubs and bars of our not-so-humble backwater, and there are more than a few excellent tribute bands, including the Rolling Stones' homage, Jumpin' Jack Flash, and the godfather of them all, Wild Child, who have been around far longer than the band they're based on, the Doors. But this Springsteen-tribute band does something a bit different: Rather than focusing on the biggest hits of the Boss, circa "Born In the USA," front man Josh Tanner, who grew up in the same Jersey town as Springsteen, leads his talented band mates through set lists heavy on pre-superstar Boss tunes. Looking like he stepped right off the cover of Born to Run, the scruffy, wiry Tanner prowls his way through such hits as "Jungleland" and "Thunder Road," but it’s on such catalog stuff as "Saint In the City" and "Lost In the Flood" that he truly channels his muse. (*Now The Springsteen Experience)
Hi Josh and co,
Last night's show was killer. My wife and I saw you there in 2009, and were overjoyed to see that you were there again this year. Normally, we go to the OC Fair within the first week or so of it opening, but we really wanted to see you guys again, so we bought tix and waited for 8/5. A friend of mine came with us who knows next-to-nothing about Bruce, and he thought it was a great show also.OK, hope to see you guys next year. Take care.

Yes they are indeed phenomenal. I never miss a show when they are in Southern California and I even followed them to New Jersey in July for their East Coast tour. They are a class act! They have a show coming up October 22 at The Renaissance in Dana Point. The place is packed when they play so if you want to catch them book a table so you have a great seat. The food is great there also.

WAY TO GO!!!! I love you guys!!!

There is no question that "The Springsteen Experience" is the ultimate Springsteen reenactment! Professional musicians with years of live and studio experience, the energy on stage of Josh Tanner (Springsteen) and Anthony Terrezza (Miami Steve) (both are originally from New Jersey), Henry Alexander as Clarence, and the unity of the entire band set them apart! You will want to see them again and again! I have seen them many times - and am always impressed!!!

These guys are awesome! It is a real pleasure to listen and watch their tribute to the Boss - this recognition by the Weekly is totally deserved! Rock on!

Being from the same hometown as Josh & Bruce (Freehold, NJ), I have been to a few BRUCE shows. Josh and his bandmates do a phenomenal job of re-creating the energy of a real BRUCE show. Whenever I see them perform in SoCal, I am immediately taken back to my "homeland" and thoroughly enjoy their shows! Anyone who loves classic rock-n-roll should not miss them!!

GABBA GABBA HEY, They be more than okay!!!!

Having gone to Freehold Boro with Josh and graduating in the same class I was thrilled to hear he had a band and was playing at the Jersey Shore at the Wonderbar in Asbury Park. Thus I posted the news on Classmates and quite a few Freehold folk showed up. It was a fantastic event and urge anyone who enjoys the sounds of Bruce to see Josh. The entire band takes on the persona of the real thing including Clarence. If you like Bruce go see this band. They are fantastic.

You can't possibly get any closer to a real Bruce concert.
This guy looks just like young Bruce and sounds even closer.
I saw this band in Las Vegas and was blown away.

Good day! I'd like to tell you a couple of good words concerning your resource. Being a blogger myself, I give preference to those sites which have something worthy to read and think over. I have found many useful documentaries and videos at rapidshare search engine , but am still in the process of good resources search.

“Josh Tanner of Irvine has spent four years honing his own act, called simply Springsteen! He has found his niche – the Boss as he looked and sounded in the mid-1970s, when he was a 26-year-old troubadour with a thick beard and floppy Gatsby cap, changing rock 'n'roll forever. Tanner grew up in Freehold, N.J., and went to the same high school as Springsteen. He lives in Irvine and doesn't divulge much else about himself. But he talks with great specificity about his craft. His band, which includes a tribute Clarence Clemons and a tribute Little Steven, uses amps identical to the 1959 Fender Bassman models used by Springsteen and his E Street Band from "Born to Run" through "Darkness on the Edge of Town." Tanner, a drummer by trade, learned how to play the guitar and built a replica of Springsteen's wooden " Frankenguitar" – a Fender Telecaster body with an Esquire-brand neck. "I studied it like an acting job,"
Tanner says...”
